One nice feature is the user interface in which the primary screen shows most of the information and functions you need. This includes searching, sorting, and scanning through Blue Rays and DVDs with relative ease. Not having a bunch of windows to switch around and navigate makes the software manageable. Seventeen different information fields can be entered and tracked for each film, DVD, VHS, or Blue ray. These fields include artist, category, title, media type, date, rating, and more. Best of all, the subject of each of these fields can be customized, allowing you to change the program specifically for your library. You could change the field called Length to Time or change Engineer to Guest Artist, for example. Also an image or picture like a .gif or a .jpg can be entered for each film. This could be the cover art or anything you like. This makes browsing through films and movies even easier. A number of standard reports can be printed with just a click. If you want to sort or print a different set of data you can create your own custom report. Additional features included copy movie, delete, a songs section to list songs, a notes section to write something about each entry, label printing, import and export of files, and integrated help. Film Tracker is freeware with no feature or time limitations.
